As veteran police officer Meng Chao and rookie Tong Hao launch their investigation, they uncover numerous inconsistencies in Wu Xi Mei's testimony, including the shocking revelation that her child is not Cao Xiao Jun's biological offspring. Cao Xiao Jun then stepped in to raise the child as his own. The police pursuit from the northern coast to the southern forests ultimately unravels a complex, decade-long serial murder scheme intertwined with the past lives and betrayals of Wu Xi Mei, Cao Xiao Jun, and Ni Xiang Dong, leading to a shocking truth.
