Good News Episode 7

Set in 1970, "Good News" thrusts audiences into a high-stakes hijacking aboard a commercial flight from Tokyo. Members of the Red Army Faction, armed with pistols and blades, seize control, demanding the aircraft be rerouted to Pyongyang. Their radical demands face immediate hurdles, starting with the complete absence of shared landing infrastructure between Japan and North Korea, just one of many growing problems for the zealous hijackers. In Seoul, a mysterious operative known only as Nobody, whose anonymous efforts frequently make headlines, is secretly enlisted to advise on the crisis. An unprecedented international intervention mobilizes intelligence and military forces from Japan, South Korea, and the US. They deploy a series of increasingly desperate and unconventional strategies, from intricate runway maneuvers during refueling to attempts at hijacking crucial radio signals. The clock ticks as they strive to bring the hostages to safety, battling the constant threat that their own audacious, even insane, tactics could trigger a far greater catastrophe.
