The Winning Try

“The Winning Try” plunges into the life of Ju Ga Ram, a once-celebrated rugby star whose career was destroyed by a devastating drug scandal, leaving him stigmatized. Three years later, he makes an unexpected comeback, taking on the role of contract coach for his former high school’s notoriously weak rugby team, which currently boasts only seven players. Ga Ram immediately demonstrates unrivaled charisma and an uncompromising leadership style, determined to revitalize the struggling squad.

His return also sparks a reunion with Bae I Ji, his ex-girlfriend of a decade, now a shooting coach at the same school, forcing them to confront their unresolved past after his abrupt disappearance following the scandal. Meanwhile, team captain Yun Seong Jun, a hardworking but envious player who feels inferior due to his own perceived lack of talent compared to his twin, grapples with his personal struggles. This gripping sports drama explores redemption, second chances, and the power of teamwork against all odds.
