Laundry Romance

Laundry Romance explores the lives of two men grappling with life’s inevitable wrinkles. Jae Min, a 30-year-old job seeker, carries the burden of anxiety, which sticks to him like stubborn grime. He navigates a world where uncertainty is a constant companion. In contrast, Ji Seok, 34, made a deliberate choice to step off the corporate treadmill, voluntarily embracing unemployment and shedding his “well-ironed shirt.” He decided to simply stop and redefine his path. Their worlds intersect late at night at a local coin laundromat, where the rhythmic hum of washing machines provides a backdrop to their quiet encounters. Amidst the mundane act of laundry, a gentle healing romance blossoms between these two men. They find solace and understanding in each other’s company, their shared vulnerabilities blending seamlessly with the comforting sounds of the machines, as they slowly un-wrinkle their lives together.
