Years later, in the summer of 2002, Dongjiang City is hit by heavy rains, coinciding with the shocking discovery of a bizarre murder. Police are confronted with the enigmatic case of a dead lover and a husband who had seemingly vanished, only to reappear as both a victim and a potential culprit. Through relentless investigation, law enforcement officers painstakingly uncover a decades-old past, long obscured by time and deception. The unraveling truth exposes the profound complexities of human nature and the ways it can blind individuals, but ultimately, the undeniable truth cannot be silenced, bringing clarity to every obscured detail.
