Uncle for Rent

“Uncle for Rent” follows Sam, a charming yet cunning former top car salesperson, who finds himself middle-aged and unemployed after being laid off in the tough post-pandemic economy. Once known for his flamboyant lifestyle, Sam hits rock bottom. His estranged daughter returns from overseas and proposes an unconventional idea: “Uncle for Rent.” Initially reluctant, Sam soon sees this unique service as his chance to reclaim his fortune and turn his life around.

As he embarks on this new venture, Sam recruits a diverse group of old friends, including a handsome genius house husband, a cafe owner, and a big-bellied taxi driver, to join him as “uncles for rent.” Together, they assist clients navigating life’s challenges, using their varied experiences and Sam’s persuasive skills. Through helping others, these uncles embark on their own journeys of self-discovery, rediscovering lost passions and finding new purpose. Ultimately, Sam learns that “Uncle for Rent” isn’t just about money; it’s about tidying up his own messy life and reconnecting with his true self, finding genuine value and personal growth.
