Messo mo Nai

Messo mo Nai unfolds as seven massive, inexplicable holes abruptly appear across Japan, materializing in random and astonishing locations from the vast sky to bustling city streets and serene fields. Citizens are left bewildered as initial investigations yield no answers, and the true nature of these mysterious abysses remains unknown. Over time, people learn to coexist with these strange new landmarks, yet a chilling truth persists: many have ventured into the holes, but not a single soul has ever returned. Into this enigma steps Ozawa, a compelling figure who worships the holes as gods, promising salvation to those who enter. Eight of his devout followers—Kawabata, Sugaya, Matsuoka, Aoyama, Watanabe, Shingo, Iguchi, and Okamoto—convene at a resort. There, under Ozawa’s specific instruction, they must record their profound reasons for seeking entry before embarking on their own journey into the ultimate unknown.
