The Defects

The Defects delves into the sinister double life of Kim Se Hui, a highly respected chief director of a large hospital and operator of a charity foundation. Beneath her benevolent public image, Kim Se Hui secretly orchestrates an illegal adoption organization, driven by a twisted belief that only superior genes deserve to survive. Her group offers a shocking “refund” policy for children who fail to meet adoptive parents’ expectations. When a child is returned, Kim Se Hui’s organization brutally murders them to destroy all evidence of their crimes. However, one such “refunded” child, Kim A Hyeon, miraculously survives this horrific fate. Now grown, Kim A Hyeon becomes a formidable leader, uniting other child survivors in a desperate fight for survival and a relentless quest for revenge against Kim Se Hui and her monstrous enterprise.
