Cringy Romance

Cringy Romance is a refreshing romantic comedy unearthing the inherently pathetic, yet utterly human, aspects of love and relationships. This series takes a hyperrealistic dive into individuals at their most vulnerable, promising abundant laughter and empathy that transcends discomfort. At its heart is a college freshman majoring in Korean literature, a hesitant young man whose occasional bold actions invariably spiral into hilarious clumsiness and mistakes. Despite his unassuming wish for simple pleasures like drinks with friends or internet cafe games, his ideological nature prompts constant self-reflection. Adapted from a popular webtoon, this story brilliantly showcases the diverse, thrilling moments found in various forms of love, celebrating the awkwardness and raw honesty of human connection in a way that’s both profoundly funny and surprisingly touching. It’s a relatable journey through the sometimes-cringy, always honest realities of young love.
